How does technology differ from educational technology in pedagogical concept? Technology is defined as the usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or create an artistic perspective while, Educational technology is simply defined as the use of tools by teachers to improve their capacity to educate students. Technology itself is the main instrument or should I say the channel, where we can enhance the learners to be more creative and innovative. Most particularly nowadays, that technology is the center of attention of the society. Access to technology improves education in a way that it would be much easier for us students in getting the information we need in just one click.
However, the teacher or the facilitator should not forget the disadvantages it possessed for an instance, the information that were posted in the internet are sometimes not accurate or it’s not true. There are various disadvantages of technology one of those is its’ ability to snatch the innocence of children by giving them an easier access to adult material. So the teacher plays an important role in guiding the students to be well equipped with the technology but at the same time helping them to be responsible enough not to abuse its usage.
